Letztes Wochenende habe ich das alte Haus meiner Oma geerbt und beim Durchstöbern bin ich fast erdrückt worden von all den Sachen, die sich über Jahrzehnte angesammelt haben. Ich suche jemanden, der mir bei einer Haushaltsauflösung helfen kann, damit ich endlich Platz habe und nicht jeden Karton selbst schleppen muss.
Kann ich total nachfühlen. Als ich das Erbe meiner Großtante in Lichtenberg antreten musste, war ich von dem ganzen „Lebensstaub“ erstmal überwältigt. Was mir damals wirklich geholfen hat, waren die Jungs von Haushaltsauflösung . Die haben das mit einer Mischung aus Respekt und krasser Effizienz gemacht. This watch stems from Jacob & Co.'s long-standing collaboration with the iconic automotive brand Chiron, drawing inspiration from the Chiron's powerful 16-cylinder engine—one of the world's most powerful sports cars. To truly bring this engine to life, Jacob & Co. created a completely new complication. In the lower half of the watch, we can see a 16-cylinder engine block, the same number of cylinders as the real Chiron engine. Crafted with sapphire crystal, Jacob & Co. allows us to admire the operation of each piston, each connected to a drive shaft. Pressing the button on the far right of the bottom of the watch activates this complication, and the engine begins to run. The pistons begin to move rapidly, and the two "turbochargers" on either side of the movement rotate accordingly.
Watching this small movement operate on the wrist is simply breathtaking. Jacob & Co. uses 578 parts to create this extraordinary movement, including a 30° tilted tourbillon and a power reserve indicator at nine o'clock. Four "shock absorbers" support the entire movement, not only making it more closely related to automotive movements but also enhancing its shock resistance. This presented a significant challenge in development, as the watch uses three "crowns" that must withstand the movement's motion. To address this, Jacob & Co. developed a patented lateral system.
The left crown is used to set the time, while the center crown winds the mainspring and tourbillon mechanism. When fully wound, the movement offers a 60-hour power reserve. The right crown is actually a button to start the "engine." The watch features a 54 x 44 mm titanium case. The front of the case is shaped like Bugatti's iconic radiator, and the tourbillon, tilted at 30°, can be seen through the case. The Jacob & Co Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon will join the Bugatti collection, alongside the Twin Turbo Furious and Epic X Chrono watches launched at the beginning of their collaboration in 2019.
